Soccer takes the bus north for a familiar rivalry trip
The bus is pointed north again. Soccer is heading to Logan, and if you've followed this team at all this season, you know what that means. Utah State is ranked 17th in the nation, and they are not the kind of host that offers snacks and a light scrimmage. This is a rivalry trip. The kind where the Cougs don't just show up to play, they show up to prove something.
Wazzu soccer has been finding its legs. If you missed the Fresno State match, go back and read "Cougs on the grass: WSU soccer finds its rhythm against Fresno State." That one gives you a feel for the flow they've been building. This Logan trip is a different test. Grit. Altitude. A ranked opponent that knows your name.
The team has already been out there once this season, and they know what's waiting. Citowicki and Carolan broke down the Fresno match pretty well, and that same sharp eye will matter up north. This isn't a bus ride for sightseeing. It's for business.
Pullman and Logan are separated by more than miles. They're separated by the kind of history that makes a regular Tuesday feel like a rivalry game. That's the trip. That's the bus. Go Cougs.
