Week 6 NFL check-in finds former Cougs making plays
Borregales with a 66-yard punt? That's not a misprint. Week 6 of the NFL season brought some real bright spots from Cougs who still know how to put on a show. The kicks are hitting, the tackles are sticking, and it's good to see Pullman names showing up in the box scores again. You don't always get the headline love when you're a WSU guy in a league full of blue-chip programs, but the tape doesn't lie. These guys are playing clean, physical football.
It's not just the NFL either. If you missed it, we just ran a check on the Cougs holding it down in the MLS this season, and that list is longer than you'd expect. Six names on active rosters, plus a few more knocking. It's a good reminder that the talent coming out of this town runs deeper than one field.
For now, the pro Cougs are making the most of their chances. No need to oversell it. They're just doing the work, and we're here to watch. Go Cougs.
