Soccer officially gets to say it again: Pac-12 foe coming to Pullman

Soccer officially gets to say it again: Pac-12 foe coming to Pullman. That is not a drill, and it is not a typo. The Cougs are hosting a conference opponent on the pitch, and for a program that has spent too much time watching the league reshuffle like a deck of cards, this is a real chance to plant a flag. You know the feeling. The one where you check the schedule twice because the last time a Pac-12 school rolled into town, you were probably squinting at a blurry stream and hoping the wifi held up. This is better. This is the real thing, and it is happening in Pullman, which means the Palouse is about to get loud for ninety minutes. You can already hear the band warming up. The Cougs have been building toward something, and games like this are why you keep showing up. It is not just about the result, though that matters. It is about proving that Washington State belongs in the conversation when the ball is on the grass. The team has had its moments, and the next step is taking care of business at home.
