Senior Day sends Cougs off right in final home match at Lower Soccer Field
You win one, you lose one, you win one. That's how it's gone for the Cougs, and Saturday they got the good kind. Senior Day at Lower Soccer Field sent the seniors off the right way, a win in the final home match. No drama, no heartbreak. Just a clean result in Pullman, and that's exactly what this group deserved.
It hasn't been a straight line this season. If you've been watching, you know the Cougs have had spells where the net felt miles away. But they found it against Texas State in that road win we covered earlier, "Cougs find the net in Pullman, leave Texas State with a loss", and they found it again on Senior Day. That matters. Momentum is a real thing when you're headed into the final stretch.
This team has grit. They've earned the right to enjoy this one. Lower Soccer Field has been good to them, and they returned the favor. Now the road gets tougher, but you take the good days when they come. Go Cougs.
