WSU hoops packs the bags, heads north to Coeur d'Alene
The Cougar men's basketball team is packing the bags and heading north to Coeur d'Alene. That's right, Pullman's finest is swapping the Palouse for the lake town, and we've got a good feeling about this trip. WSU hoops is hitting the road for a tournament that feels like a home game without the home crowd pressure. Coeur d'Alene is close enough that some Cougs might just make the drive, but far enough that the team can lock in without distraction.
We've been tracking this run. If you want the full rundown on how the Cougs are sitting heading into this third round, check out "Cougs sit pretty heading into Coeur d'Alene's third round" on our site. It fills in the gaps and sets the table for what's ahead.
This is the kind of mid-season test that tells you what a squad is made of. Not a glamour matchup, not a national TV spotlight, just a solid field and a chance to stack wins. That's Wazzu basketball right now: steady, under the radar, and quietly dangerous. We're not predicting fireworks, but we're not counting them out either.
Pack the bags, Cougs. Coeur d'Alene won't know what hit it.
Go Cougs.
