1-1 Draw

Cougs grind out a 1-1 draw on the road at Fullerton

A point on the road in Fullerton is a point on the road. The Cougs ground out a 1-1 draw, and if you've spent any time watching this team, you know those are the kind of results that keep you sane on a long bus ride home. It wasn't flashy. It wasn't a statement. But it was a grind, and that's worth something in September. The draw keeps the momentum going after a week that also saw Kirby Moore talking about what it actually means to be a Coug, prepping for Duquesne, sure, but also carrying that weight that comes with the logo. That piece is worth your time if you want to hear a coach who gets it. Meanwhile, Korey Schroeder has been on the mic for volleyball, and Long Beach week is always a test of nerve. These are the stories that don't make the national feed, but they're the ones we track. A 1-1 draw isn't a headline. But it's a night where the Cougs didn't fold, didn't get caught in the trap, and left with something. That's the kind of result you text a friend about, not because it's a win, but because you saw the fight. Go Cougs.
