UW's new homepage: fresh look, better story, built for us
## A New Front Door for UW: Introducing the Redesigned Homepage
The University of Washington is excited to unveil a completely redesigned homepage, launching September 30th. This isn’t just a fresh coat of paint; it’s the culmination of nearly two years of focused effort, rooted in a deep understanding of how students, faculty, alumni, and visitors interact with our online presence. We started by analyzing user behavior and existing data, and that groundwork evolved into a comprehensive strategy encompassing research, design, and development. The goal? To create a digital front door that truly reflects UW's story and serves our diverse audiences more effectively.
This redesign prioritizes clarity and ease of navigation, ensuring visitors can quickly find the information they need. We’ve streamlined the layout, emphasized key content, and built a foundation for future growth and evolution alongside the University. It’s a responsive design, meaning it will look and function seamlessly across all devices.
Beyond the visual refresh, this project represents a commitment to providing a more engaging and informative online experience. Interested in how UW researchers are exploring vital ecosystems?
