denim mini skirts , what to wear with!!?

what are people wearing with denim mini skirts in the summer… i dress somewhat alternative and the only suggestions for denim mini skirts seems to be wear boots tights and lacey socks but it’s just far too warm, i want my legs out but i feel very heavy at the top if i wear converse and a mini skirt then nothing else on my legs. i have extremely long legs as i am 5’8 and i am so stumped on what shoes to buy.
