baby chick (got abandoned maybe?)

hi guys I’m happy I found a community for chickens as I ran into a happy problem but not so happy as I have no idea on how to properly take care of a baby chick. The story goes that we found it stuck in a bush about to get eaten by a cat and saved it and we went to go find its mom and it was no use. We’re hoping we find her tomorrow morning so we can return her baby but we have touched the baby chick of course. My main concern is if we cannot find the hen in the morning or in general, where can I relocate it? I cannot keep it at all as I have a cat and two dogs and I’m scared that one day something could happen and she ends up deceased :(. we think it’s a girl but we’re not sure. We fed it water, smashed up corn and some quinoa. please let me know any advice on care for now or anything else I can do for relocation. I’m in California, 209 area and I hope to find some help soon. Thank you.
